A science and engineering prodigy, Annabelle Reitman's talents were constantly devalued. An attractive woman, she was appreciated for her beauty, not her intelligence. It quickly became apparent that she was never going to rise to the top doing research and development and that disgusted her. She decided to show the world that her intellect was something to be respected... and feared. Annabelle created an array of devices to assist her in a life of crime. She took to wearing a costume to hide her identity and going by the name Decibella, as many of her weapons and devices were based on sound waves. After some initial successes, she became of member of the powerful criminal organization, the Fallen Legion.
